I’m so excited to start a new chapter in my career as a Real OT Solutions®, Size Matters® Handwriting Program Instructor and Affiliate. I am also certified in Sensory Integration (SIPT certification) as well as Therapeutic Listening and have been trained in several other handwriting programs. Being a natural-born communicator and very social person, I love to meet people and share ideas and suggestions.     Chaya earned her Masters degree in occupational therapy from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida. At her sensory gym and enrichment center, Sensation New York, she’s been providing Manhattan’s UWS’s children the skills to learn and grow for over 20 years. Chaya is thrilled to have finally found a Handwriting intervention that works so she can graduate students referred for “handwriting” mostly through NYC’s Department of Education. She is an engaging public speaker because she enjoys performing and can finally put her BA in a theater to good use. Teaching comes naturally to her and is skilled at breaking down concepts to be easily absorbed by her students.212-362-6243

    Diane has over fourteen years of experience working in both school settings and pediatric therapy clinics. She enjoys working with kids who have behavioral challenges, sensory processing differences, and fine motor delays. She is skilled at helping build social skills using creative approaches, such as a collaborative art group she runs at her outpatient pediatric job. She is also an artist who is the founder and director of Vibrant Palette, a nonprofit art center for adults with disabilities in the city of Seattle. Diane is thrilled to now be part of the Size Matters® Handwriting Program team, as she has experienced first hand the progress her students and clients have made in a remarkably small amount of time.     Karen Jackson Stindt MS OTR/L ATP is an OT with over 35 years of experience working as an OT in the school setting. She received her BS OT from University of Alabama in Birmingham in 1978 and MS in therapeutic science from University of Wisconsin in 1997. Mrs. Stindt also guest lectures at Institutes of Higher Education and presents locally, regionally and nationally when she is not operating her own consulting business, kjs consulting. With additional certifications in sensory integration and assistive technology, she brings an extremely vast knowledge base to other therapists and educators to help widen their understanding of how to work with students at all levels. Her passion is for students that are often labeled difficult, hand to reach or very low functioning. Karen is an avid proponent of paying it forward often sharing her time, possessions and energies with others through volunteer activities including hospice, foster care, community gardening, Sunday school teaching and supervision. In her free time, Karen enjoys spending time with family, crafting, pickleball, word games and reading. She just wishes there were more hours in the day to do all the things that she has in mind.

    Moira currently works as a pediatric occupational therapist. Earning her Occupational Therapy Doctorate in 2015, Moira continues to use her knowledge and skills to serve children in a public school setting. Her vast experience with program facilitation and passion for education make her an excellent advocate for the children. She speaks at local and national conferences on topics such as education law, occupational therapy advocacy and school-based opportunities for occupational therapy practitioners. She currently serves as the Director of Finance for the Illinois Occupational Therapy Association and as a member of the Volunteer Leadership & Development Committee for the American Occupational Therapy Association. In her spare time (what's left), Moira is the Chair of the Lake County Walk to End Alzheimer's and volunteers for several sorority and fraternity organizations.

    Tanya is a forward thinking, holistic, evidence-based occupational therapist currently working in the New York City Department of Education and in Early Intervention. She has experience working with children of many ages in a variety of settings. She received her Masters in Occupational Therapy in 2016 with advanced coursework in Pediatrics and Hand Rehabilitation. She is certified in Size Matters® Handwriting Program and Ayres USC Sensory Integration. She truly believes a child’s main occupation is play! This is one reason why she’s an advocate of programs like SMHP, as she has already been able to see students engage more, have fun and show immediate progress after using some of the SMHP approaches. She is excited and looking forward to expanding and sharing SMHP with more students and colleagues.
